2013
Lalo and Ana's relationship was ignited at a new Year's party at the beginning of 2013. After a fun night of dancing and laughter, they both knew something special had taken place and thus began their journey of friendship and love. Little did Ana know, Lalo had already decided she was the woman he was going to spend his life with. Though it took him all year, he finally got Ana to agree to go out with him. With a racing mind and a hopeful heart he officially asked Ana to be his girlfriend.
La relación de Lalo y Ana comenzó en una fiesta de Año Nuevo a principios del 2013. Después de una divertida noche de baile y risas, ambos supieron que algo especial había sucedido y así comenzaron su viaje de amistad y amor. Lo que Ana no sabía era que Lalo ya había decidido que ella era la mujer con la que el iba a pasar el resto de su vida. Aunque le tomo todo el año, finalmente consiguió que Ana aceptara salir con él. Con la mente acelerada y el corazón lleno de esperanza, le pidió oficialmente a Ana que fuera su novia.
2014
Lalo was a hard-working man looking for a fresh start. Ana was an independent woman who was focused on building a life of stability and helping others. They couldn't have met at a more perfect time. A foundation of friendship and admiration was created as they were both striving to build a successful future. They began collaborating on numerous projects and spending hours together talking about work, life and love. Though Lalo doesnt like to admit it, he shed a few tears mid conversations. Ana loved that he allowed himself to be vulnerable with her. Their souls had found each other and they would embark on a journey that would someday lead them to this very special moment.
Lalo era un hombre trabajador que buscaba un nuevo comienzo. Ana era una mujer independiente que estaba enfocada en construir una vida estable y en ayudar a los demás. No podrían haberse conocido en un momento más perfecto. Crearon una base de amistad y admiración mientras ambos se esforzaban por construir un futuro exitoso. Comenzaron a trabajar juntos en varios proyectos y a pasaron horas juntos hablando sobre el trabajo, la vida y el amor. Aunque a Lalo no le gusta admitirlo, derramo algunas lágrimas en medio de las conversaciones. A Ana le encantó que él se permitiera ser vulnerable con ella. Sus almas se habían encontrado y embarcarían en un viaje que algún día los llevaría a este momento tan especial.
2015
As the new lovebirds explored one another's likes, dislikes, and quirks, they were also sure to explore new places together as a couple. Included in what would be one of many adventures, Lalo surprised Ana with an amazing and unforgettable trip to Belize for her birthday. Ana was a bit of a workaholic at the time and Lalo made sure to book the trip on a remote island with nearly no cell phone service. It was exactly what she neeeded and they both had no choice but to focus on being truly present! It was one of the coolest and most beautiful trips to date!
A medida que los nuevos tortolitos exploraban los gustos, aversiones y peculiaridades del otro, también explorarían nuevos lugares juntos como pareja. Incluida en lo que sería una de muchas aventuras, Lalo sorprendió a Ana con un increíble e inolvidable viaje a Belice para su cumpleaños. Ana era un poco adicta al trabajo en ese epoca y Lalo se aseguró de reservar el viaje en una isla remota con poca señal de celular. ¡Era exactamente lo que ella necesitaba y no tuvieron más remedio que concentrarse en estar verdaderamente presentes! ¡Fue uno de los viajes más geniales y hermosos hasta la fecha!
2016
Ana and Lalo got their first apartment together! It was a period of adjustment but they quickly learned they complemented each other's strengths and weaknesses. She taught him how to make a house a home and much to Ana's surprise she learned that Lalo loved cooking and preferred doing their laundry. She later found out it was because he didn't like the way she folded the shirts and she gladly complied. :)
¡Ana y Lalo consiguieron su primer apartamento juntos! Fue un período de adaptación, pero rápidamente aprendieron que complementaban sus cualidades y sus debilidades. Ella le enseñó a Lalo a crear de una casa un hogar, y para la gran sorpresa de Ana, descubrió que a Lalo le encantaba cocinar y prefería lavar la ropa. Despues descubrió que era porque a él no le gustaba la forma en que ella doblaba las camisas y ella feliz obedeció . :)
2017
After catching the travel bug with their trip to Belize, Ana and Lalo took their next big adventure to Mexico. They explored the beautiful coast that is Playa del Carmen and Tulum. It was here they discovered Hotel Xcaret Mexico, which exposed them to the deeper roots of Lalo's Mexican culture and to an array of amazing adventures. Fun fact! Lalo is half Mexican, a quarter Nicaraguan and a quarter Colombian! Xcaret still holds a special place for them and it was a close second choice of location for their destination wedding. Now you know where you'll be invited for any future renewal vows!
Después de contagiarse del gusanillo de viajar con su viaje a Belice, Ana y Lalo empezaron su siguiente gran aventura en México. Exploraron la hermosa costa de Playa del Carmen y Tulum. Fue aquí donde descubrieron el Hotel Xcaret México, que los expuso con mas profundidad a las raíces de la cultura mexicana de Lalo y a una variedad de aventuras increíbles. ¡Hecho de la diversión! ¡Lalo es mitad mexicano, un cuarto nicaragüense y un cuarto colombiano! Xcaret todavía ocupa un lugar especial para ellos y fue una segunda opción de ubicación para su boda de destino. ¡Ahora ya sabes a dónde te invitarán para futuras renovaciones de votos!
2018
This was a year filled with meaningful memories for them individually and as a couple. It was during this year that they moved into a bigger and nicer apartment! Ana also went to the World Cup in Russia with her dad and Lalo continued to expand his professional goals and to explore higher education goals. Ana was gone for 7 weeks and this was the first time in years that they had been apart this long. The absence reminded them of how much they appreciated and loved each other. They remained connected as Lalo would constantly check in and Ana would share exciting updates of her trip throughout Eastern Europe. They had a fruitful year and overcame many different challenges with the support of their friends and families. The people they began to surround themselves with were a huge factor in encouraging them to continue building lasting love. Their experiences this year helped solidify their relationship in a very special way.
Este fue un año lleno de recuerdos significativos para ellos individualmente y como pareja. ¡Fue durante este año que se mudaron a un apartamento más grande y mejor! Ana también fue al Mundial de Rusia con su papá y Lalo continuó construyendo sus objetivos profesionales y educativos. Ana estuvo fuera del pais por 7 semanas y esta fue la primera vez en años que estuvieron separados tanto tiempo. La ausencia les recordó cuánto se apreciaban y amaban. Permanecieron conectados ya que Lalo se comunicaba constantemente y Ana compartía interesantes actualizaciones de su viaje por Europa. Tuvieron un año productivo y superaron muchos desafíos con el apoyo de sus amigos y familiares. Las personas de las que empezaron a rodearse fueron un factor enorme para motivarlos a seguir construyendo un amor duradero. Sus experiencias este año ayudaron a fortalecer su relación de una manera muy especial.
2019
By 2019, the dynamic duo's relationship had really blossomed as they entered a year filled with new opportunity. This is the year Lalo & Ana decided to start a marketing business together. Ana was in charge of the creative aspect, while Lalo helped build the logistics of the business. Metamorphosis Marketing Group LLC was born. There would be great times, and there would be really difficult times both personally and professionally, but one thing was certain, Lalo & Ana were going to walk into the unknown together hand-in-hand.
Para el 2019, la relación del dúo dinámico realmente había florecido cuando entraron en un año lleno de nuevas oportunidades. Este es el año en que Lalo y Ana decidieron iniciar juntos un negocio de marketing. Ana estuvo a cargo del aspecto creativo, mientras que Lalo ayudó a construir la logística del negocio. Este año nació Metamorphosis Marketing Group LLC.
Habrían grandes momentos, y también habrían momentos realmente difíciles tanto a nivel personal como profesional, pero una cosa era segura, Lalo y Ana iban a caminar juntos hacia lo desconocido de la mano.
2020
This is a year that marked the entire world. For Lalo & Ana it brought an assortment of experiences, emotions, and great growth. They shared moments of uncertainty and pain as the world collectively froze in disbelief. They also shared moments of joy and belly aching laughter as they tried to find creative ways to entertain themselves at home. Netflix, ice cream, and homemade gym weights kept them a little more sane. This is also the year Ana learned that she was not born to be a hairdresser. She gave Lalo several haircuts that made him look like a small donkey. Lol! Months later and several pounds heavier from all the stay at home junk food binges, they would realize the enormous life lessons this year would bring. It was the hardest yet most life changing year of their lives. Unknown to them, God would put a large tribe of loving people in their lives who would hold them up and become instrumental in their individual growth and collective growth as a couple. The saying 'it takes a tribe,' is usually used when referring to raising a child. However, they believe it also applies to couples. We are eternally grateful to every single angel in our lives that has supported us in our journey. Through laughter, tears, joy, and difficulty you have forever left footprints on our hearts. Thank you.
Este fue un año que marcó al mundo entero. Para Lalo & Ana, este año trajo una variedad de experiencias, emociones y un gran crecimiento. Compartieron momentos de incertidumbre y dolor mientras el mundo se congelaba colectivamente. También compartieron momentos de alegría y risas interminables mientras intentaban encontrar formas creativas de entretenerse en casa. Netflix, mucho helado y unas pesas caseras del gimnasio los mantuvieron un poco más cuerdos. Este es también el año en el que Ana supo que no había nacido para ser peluquera. Le hizo a Lalo varios cortes de pelo que lo hacían ver como un burrito chiquito. ¡Jajaja! Meses más tarde, y con varios kilos más de peso debido a toda la comida chatarra que se comieron cuando se quedaron en casa, se darían cuenta de las enormes lecciones de vida que traería este año. Fue el año más difícil y, al mismo tiempo, más transformador de sus vidas. Sin que ellos lo supieran, Dios pondría en sus vidas una gran tribu de personas amorosas que los apoyarian y serían fundamentales para su crecimiento individual y colectivo como pareja. El dicho 'se necesita una tribu' se utiliza generalmente cuando se hace referencia a la crianza de un niño. Sin embargo, creen que también aplica a las parejas. Estamos eternamente agradecidos con cada ángel en nuestras vidas que nos ha apoyado en nuestra relación. A través de las risas, las lágrimas, la alegría y la dificultad, han dejado huellas en nuestros corazones. Gracias.

Lalo & Ana visit their destination wedding location for the first time! Despite being deeply immersed in her Colombian culture, Ana had never been to Cartagena and they both decided it was a great time to explore the beautiful coast of Colombia. Lalo & Ana would share an unforgettable trip to San Andres, Santa Marta and Cartagena. They fell in love with the coast and decided that they would someday bring their family to share in the magic of the city of Cartagena!
¡Lalo y Ana visitan el lugar adonde seria su boda por primera vez! A pesar de estar profundamente inmersa en su cultura Colombiana, Ana nunca había estado en Cartagena y ambos decidieron que era un buen momento para explorar la hermosa costa de Colombia. Lalo & Ana compartirían un viaje inolvidable a San Andrés, Santa Marta y Cartagena. ¡Se enamoraron de la costa y decidieron que algún día traerían a su familia para compartir la magia de la ciudad de Cartagena!
2022
This was a year filled with endless adventures! Ana & Lalo would travel the world together and visited Bali, Spain, Morocco, and Portugal! What Ana didn't know is that they were also about to embark on the biggest adventure of their lives. Lalo asked Ana's father for his blessing and On October 24th, Lalo & Ana got engaged!! It was about time! Their anniversary date is Oct 25th but Lalo knew that Ana would suspect something on a special date so he skillfully planned his proposal for the day before their anniversary so it would be a complete surprise! Those of you who know Ana well, know she is a bit of an unofficial private investigator, so Lalo had to very carefully plan his proposal for months with her mother as his accomplice. Lalo bought Ana the most stunning diamond ring and prepared an incredibly romantic proposal at Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes, CA. On this afternoon,the beautiful California sunset would bear witness to one of the most meaningful moments of their lives. Lalo included their families for their wonderful proposal dinner and this day will forever be engraved in Ana's heart as one of the most beautiful times of her life.
¡Este fue un año lleno de infinitas aventuras! ¡Ana y Lalo viajarían juntos por el mundo y visitarían Bali, España, Marruecos y Portugal! Lo que Ana no sabía es que ellos también estaban a punto de embarcarse en la aventura más grande de sus vidas. Lalo le pidió la bendición al padre de Ana y ¡¡El 24 de Octubre Lalo y Ana se comprometieron!! Ya era hora! Su fecha de aniversario es el 25 de Octubre, pero Lalo sabía que Ana sospecharía algo en una fecha especial, así que planeó hábilmente su propuesta para el día antes de su aniversario para que fuera una completa sorpresa. Los que conocen bien a Ana, saben que ella es una especie de investigadora privada no oficial por lo que Lalo tuvo que planificar muy cuidadosamente su propuesta durante meses con su madre como cómplice. Lalo le compró a Ana el anillo de diamantes más impresionante y preparó una propuesta increíblemente romántica en Terranea Resort en Palos Verdes, CA. Esta tarde, el hermoso atardecer californiano sería testigo de uno de los momentos más significativos de sus vidas. Lalo incluyó a sus familias para su maravillosa cena de propuesta y este día quedará grabado para siempre en el corazón de Ana como uno de los momentos más hermosos de su vida.
2023
La Vie En Rose! Lalo & Ana go to Paris! After 6 months of being engaged, they decided to celebrate their commitment in one of the most romantic cities in the world. Their fancy AirBnB with a direct view of the Eifel Tower right from their balcony was what dreams are made of. They shared the most romantic trip and traveled through the French Riviera where they saw countless stunning sights, ate delicious food, and met some great people! It is this year that Ana & Lalo also choose Cartagena as their destination wedding location!
¡La Vie en rose! ¡Lalo y Ana se van a París! Luego de 6 meses de compromiso, decidieron celebrar su compromiso en una de las ciudades más románticas del mundo. Su elegante Airbnb con vista directa a la Torre Eifel desde su balcón era de lo que están hechos los sueños. Compartieron el viaje más romántico y viajaron a través de la Riviera Francesa, donde vieron innumerables lugares impresionantes, comieron comida deliciosa y conocieron gente maravillosa. ¡Es este año que Ana y Lalo también eligen Cartagena como lugar de destino para su boda!
2024
Lalo & Ana choose 7/27/2024 as the day when they will promise eternal love to one another with their families and God as their witness! Their hearts were overfilled with joy as they began planning their destination wedding in Cartagena! They would soon find out wedding planning is not all unicorns and rainbows! Lol The challenges have been many, but in typical Lalo & Ana fashion, they overcome any challenge they are presented with. Together, hand in hand, and always with God's guidance. They cannot wait to see what adventures this year will bring and what plans God has in store for them. They thank him for all their blessings and for putting such loving and wonderful people in their lives. You all are now part of their journey and celebrating their wedding day with you all in Cartagena is a dream come true!
¡Lalo y Ana eligen 27/7/2024 como el día en el que se prometerán amor eterno frente a sus familias y con Dios como testigo! ¡Sus corazones se llenaron de alegría cuando comenzaron a planear su boda de destino en Cartagena! ¡Pronto descubrirían que la planeacion de bodas no es solo color de rosa! Jaja Los desafíos han sido muchos, pero al estilo típico de Lalo y Ana, superan cualquier desafío que se les presenta. Juntos, de la mano, y siempre con la guía de Dios. Les emociona pensar en las aventuras que puedan traer este año y en los planes que tenga Dios reservados para ellos. Le agradecen a Dios por todas sus bendiciones y por poner personas tan amorosas y maravillosas en sus vidas. ¡Ahora todos son parte de su historia y poder celebrar el día de su boda con ustedes en Cartagena es un sueño hecho realidad!
